RTNDF Gets Knight Foundation Grant

The RADIO AND TELEVISION NEWS DIRECTORS FOUNDATION announced at RTNDA@NAB that it has received a three-year, $1.2 million grant from the JOHN S. and JAMES L. KNIGHT FOUNDATION for multifaceted high school electronic media initiatives. The grant will help RTNDF aid schools across the country to create more than 100 new broadcast journalism classes and build more than 100 new multimedia web sites to train hundreds of students and thousands of teachers in broadcast journalism. It will also help RTNDF to expand online teacher resources on highschooljournalism.org/broadcast.
