GREATER MEDIA Smooth Jazz WJJZ/PHILADELPHIA's MICHAEL TOZZI will host the final WJJZ SUNDAY BRUNCH live broadcast this SUNDAY (4/29) from ZANZIBAR BLUE, as the legendary restaurant and jazz club will be officially closing its doors. The owners, ROBERT & BENJAMIN BYNUM, have decided to begin the search for a new location. TOZZI has been broadcasting live from ZANZIBAR BLUE for the past 10 years.
"For 10 years, ZANZIBAR BLUE has provided a home for WJJZ, its listeners and hundreds of jazz musicians," TOZZI recalls. "During our SUNDAY BRUNCH broadcasts, I've had the pleasure of interviewing incredible artists like MICHAEL MCDONALD, PETER NERO, JOE SAMPLE, BRIAN CULBERTSON and so many others. Those are the memories I’ll take with me."
Beginning on SUNDAY, MAY 6, WJJZ will begin hosting the SUNDAY BRUNCH series live from WARMDADDY'S, a jazz and blues restaurant also owned by the BYNUM brothers.
