A busy day at XM SATELLITE RADIO as Sr. VP/Music Programming JON ZELLNER announces three new additions to the programming team, the resignation of one PD and the promotion of another.
After five years -- as one of the original XM SATELLITE programmers and the first live voice ever heard on the network -- BRUCE KELLY has resigned from XM to care for his ailing father. "It's been a blast to work at XM and my thanks to HUGH PANERO, ERIC LOGAN, and JON ZELLNER. Radio will always be here, my father won't. I will pursue my career again after the first of the year." Reach BRUCE at (301) 471-7728 or brucekelly@adelphia.net.
ZELLNER noted, "I have had the pleasure of knowing BRUCE for many years. His talent, creativity and energy set him apart from the majority of radio people. BRUCE cares tremendously about the success of XM and will be missed. As a result, KURT GILCHREST will move into the Program Director position of the 80s channel effective immediately."
And, ZELLNER went on to say: "I'm happy to announce three new additions to the music programming team. Please welcome JASON KIDD, who will join the 80s On 8 as an on-air personality; KYLE CANTRELL who will program Bluegrass Junction and MARTY FITZPATRICK, who will join XM as MD of X Country."
