A listener complaint has led to the CANADIAN BROADCASTING STANDARDS COUNCIL investigating whether CORUS Talk CHML-A/HAMILTON morning co-host BOB BRATINA violated ethical standards by talking about local politics on the radio while also serving on the HAMILTON City Council.
The HAMILTON SPECTATOR reports that the CBSC's Chairman RON COHEN says a ruling will come within the next five months. CHML GM SUZANNE CARPENTER told the paper that the station has responded to the complaint and the complainant acknowledging a violation but added, "We are very satisfied with our own internal directions."
