The CRTC has approved applications by STANDARD RADIO and ABORIGINAL VOICES RADIO for two new FMs in REGINA and has approved NATOTAWIN BROADCASTING's application for an FM repeater of its CJLR/LA RONGE, SK to serve REGINA as well. STANDARD will broadcast a New Country format at 92.7 FM with 100,000 watts (class C1), AVR will broadcast mostly a simulcast of Ethnic (Aboriginal) CKAV/TORONTO on 96.1 FM with 100,000 watts, and NATOTAWIN will use 90.3 FM with 43,000 watts to rebroadcast Ethnic (Aboriginal) CJLR.
In SASKATOON, AVR gets 102.9 FM with 100,000 watts for similar programming as its REGINA application, and HARVARD BROADCASTING gets 92.3 FM with 100,000 watts for a "Youth Contemporary" (Pop, Urban, and Alternative) format.
And in MEDICINE HAT, AB, ROGERS BROADCASTING gets 105.3 FM (77,900 watts) for a Rock format, CLEAR SKY RADIO gets 100,000 watts at 102.1 FM for an Adult Standards/"Modern Nostalgia" format, and LIGHTHOUSE BROADCASTING gets a move for its low-power Contemporary Christian CJLT to move from 99.5 FM at low power (48 watts) to class A operations at 93.7 FM (2,300 watts).
