1720 Entertainment Opens Country Division

Coming To Nashville

Industry veteran BILL MACKY, most recently Exec. VP at CATEGORY 5 RECORDS, has been named VP/Promotion for the ATLANTA-based 1720 ENTERTAINMENT's new Country division to be run out of NASHVILLE. Also named are JIM MALITO, formerly of WARNER BROS., for West Coast Promotion; ROSEY FITCHPATRICK, who worked together with MACKY at CATEGORY 5, for Mid-America Promotion; and STACY BLYTHE, who was Promo Coordinator at CATEGORY 5, for East Coast Promotion. NEAL SPIELBERG and DEREK SIMON have also been retained as senior consultants to oversee sales and marketing efforts.

The first artist signed to the new 1720 Country division is RISSI PALMER, who already has had her first single released to Country radio: "Country Girl."

MACKY has over 30 years of experience in the business, including many years at MCA/NASHVILLE and SONY/NASHVILLE. He also has worked in radio at stations such as KUZZ/BAKERSFIELD, WDSY/PITTSBURGH, KRTY/SAN JOSE and KSON/SAN DIEGO.
