Most of PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND's stations are still operating at low power due to transmission troubles at a shared transmitter site in CHURCHILL, PEI. The stations have been at reduced power since THURSDAY night, and full service may not be restored for another week.
Stations affected include the CBC's CBCT (CBC RADIO ONE) and CBCH (CBC RADIO TWO) and RADIO-CANADA's French CBAF-15 (LA PREMIERE CHAINE) and CBAX-1 (ESPACE MUSIQUE), AC CHLQ (MAGIC 93), Country CFCY, Adult Hits CHTN (OCEAN 100), and Classic Rock CKQK (K-ROCK). The exception is Classic Rock CJRW (SPUD FM)/SUMMERSIDE, which uses a different tower.
