In response to growing demand by radio and TV broadcasters for audio technology updates relevant to their HD/digital transitions, the AUDIO ENGINEERING SOCIETY will introduce a dedicated, four-day BROADCAST AUDIO CONFERENCE to its 123rd AES CONVENTION at NEW YORK's JACOB JAVITS CONVENTION CENTER, OCTOBER 5-8.
"Attendance numbers and media attention for broadcast-related events at recent AES conventions have increased substantially," says AES Exec. Director ROGER FURNESS. "The broadcast audio community warrants a dedicated technical event providing expert sessions, tutorials and workshops which address changes in their business and technical environment. To best serve this growing constituency AES CONVENTION Committee Chair JIM ANDERSON and BROADCAST AUDIO CONFERENCE Chair DAVID K. BIALIK have developed a 'Conference Within a Convention.' This unique event will provide broadcast end-users with a dedicated technical program designed to explore new innovations and techniques, and to accelerate networking among industry and technology leaders."
