The radio talker accused of murdering his wife is denying the accusations that he poisoned her, according to the ASSOCIATED PRESS, which reports that KLIK-A/JEFFERSON CITY, MO host JAMES KEOWN's attorney ADAM A. KRETOWICZ told AP's DENISE LAVOIE that KEOWN "absolutely denies that he had any involvement in her death. They were deeply in love with each other... He has no information as to how this occurred."
KEOWN, also known in his radio career as J.P. O'NEILL, was arrested MONDAY at KLIK and has been charged with his wife JULIE's murder; authorities ascribe her death on SEPTEMBER 8, 2004 in WALTHAM, MA to slow poisoning from ethylene glycol, the material found in anti-freeze. KEOWN/O'NEILL worked at KMBZ-A and KCMO-A in KANSAS CITY, WMVP-A (ESPN 1000)/CHICAGO, and WRKO-A/BOSTON in various production, web, marketing, programming, and on-air capacities before joining KLIK; he is facing arraignment in CAMBRIDGE, MA THURSDAY (11/10).
