'ChickChat' Holds Flag Cake Bakeoff

You Can Have Your Patriotism And Eat It Too

Syndicated CHICKCHAT RADIO is holding its second annual "4th of JULY Flag Cake Smackdown," billed as "not your grandmother’s bake-off." Contestants bake their cakes and email pictures of the results to the show, and the winner, announced the week of JULY 9, will take home, er, bragging rights for the year (and they get to eat their own cake).

"It’s big, it’s bad, and it’s above all the most patriotic thing we can do in AMERICA," said co-host HEIDI HANZEL. "Flag Cakes aren’t just for middle AMERICA anymore –-- it’s hip, and it’s hot!"

"The Flag Cake Smackdown is for the people," added co-host LARA DYAN. "The contest is open to anyone with a digital camera, Internet access, and mad decorating skills. We can’t wait to see what everyone submits!"
