WAITT RADIO NETWORKS has signed an exclusive arrangement with ALAN BURNS & ASSOCIATES to syndicate the MOVIN format with localized 24-hour music and content for their affiliates.
According to ALAN BURNS & ASSOCIATES CEO ALAN BURNS, "The simple reason why MOVIN works is that it's fun and listening to it makes you feel good. The music's mainly uptempo, and the library isn't burned out as it is in other formats. Most of the songs our affiliates play have barely seen the light of day on radio for years; they are market-exclusive to MOViN and would sound odd on any other station in town. That means the format is both entertaining and differentiated."
WAITT RADIO NETWORKS GM KURT LUCHS commented, "No wonder the copycats have fallen over themselves trying to clone MOVIN. ALAN and MOVIN VP MICHELE WILLIAMS have gotten more positive results and attention with it than any other format innovation in recent years. We figured, why send in the clones when we can go with the people who invented this thing? They really understand it and have a passion for it. They've created a terrific brand, and broader syndication can only make it stronger."
MARY QUASS, President/CEO of WAITT's parent company NRG MEDIA, added, "We're all about great local radio. I can think of no better to help make that happen than by being able to offer our affiliates an exciting new format that has already proven itself."
