Australian Legend John Laws' 'Golden Mic' Stolen

Someone has stolen Talk 2UE/SYDNEY legend JOHN LAWS' famous "golden microphone." The nine karat gold SENNHEISER microphone, with the special serial number JL0001 and worth almost A$10,000, had been stored in a box since the station moved in 2005 and was a gift from 2UE management for LAWS' 50th anniversary in the business in 2003. The mic disappeared last week from the station's offices; LAWS has been using another "golden mic" received for his 40th radio anniversary in 1993. 

LAWS will be retiring later this year and says he will not press charges if the thief returns the stolen mic.
