Broadcaster Charged In Underage Sex Sting

MISSOURI VALLEY BROADCASTING Country KMMO-A-F/MARSHALL, MO sports and weather reporter ETHAN HANDEL has been charged in federal court with using the Net to entice a 14 year old girl for sex, reports the KANSAS CITY STAR. HANDEL was arrested SUNDAY in INDEPENDENCE, MO after arriving at what he expected would be a meeting with the girl, who turned out to be an undercover detective. The STAR reports that a court filing contains alleged admissions of previous sexual activity with minors. 

Station GM JOHN WILSON issued a statement saying HANDEL's co-workers are "shocked" and that the station is cooperating with police.
