WISN Changes: Herrera Hired, Deibert And Devin Exit

CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WISN-A/MILWAUKEE has made it official and hired former crosstown JOURNAL Talk WTMJ morning host/anchor KEN HERRERA as News Director, starting JULY 30. HERRERA was fired by WTMJ in MAY and had been rumored to be headed to WISN.

WISN has cancelled the station's "EARLY SPIN" morning show, meaning that hosts DAN DEIBERT and NICOLE DEVIN's contracts are not being renewed. DEIBERT, a veteran of stations in GREEN BAY, MADISON, and WAUSAU and a noted standup comic, tells ALL ACCESS that the show will end after WEDNESDAY's edition and that he is looking for the next radio opportunity; reach him at (262) 456-5341 or dandeibert@gmail.com. 

And "EARLY SPIN" Producer KEITH CONRAD was also let go with the show's demise. CONRAD, an experienced producer packing a hefty Rolodex, is looking for his next opportunity as well- reach him at keithrconrad@gmail.com.

What else will WISN be doing with its schedule? Talk about moving 8:30-noon host JAY WEBER into mornings and the possibility of sister Talk WIBA-A/MADISON host VICKI MCKENNA doing a WISN-only show in middays (while continuing at WIBA) have been circulating for a while now.
