The View Expected To Go Whoopi

THE VIEW is expected to hire actress and PREMIERE syndicated "Wake Up With WHOOPI" host WHOOPI GOLDBERG and actress SHERRI SHEPHERD as permanent co-hosts of the ABC morning TV show.

Both actresses have been filling in regularly on the series, which nears the end of a turbulent season that began with the firing of STAR JONES REYNOLDS in JUNE of 2006 and died down with the sudden departure of MEREDITH VIERA’s replacement, ROSIE O’DONNELL, last MAY.

Final negotiations with the duo are underway, and an announcement of their hiring is expected next week, reports the LOS ANGELES TIMES.
