WAWZ Offers Newark 'A Day Of Hope'

PILLAR OF FIRE Christian AC WAWZ (STAR 99.1)/NEW YORK and the GOODWILL RESCUE MISSION will host a performance by CASTING CROWNS on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 1st at the BEAR & EAGLES RIVERFRONT STADIUM in NEWARK as “A DAY OF HOPE FOR NEWARK."

“The news about the recent tragedies in NEWARK has skewed the view of everything good that is going on there. We wanted to highlight those that are working for the good of NEWARK and bring a day of hope to this community,” says PD/mornings JOHNNY STONE.

Gates open at 10:30a (ET) and CASTING CROWNS will perform at noon. One family will win lunch with the band following the event, joining a second family who will win lunch on the air.
