The group DIAMOND RIO, who had nine #1 Country singles while they were with ARISTA/NASHVILLE, has signed with WORD RECORDS and will have a CHRISTMAS album due out OCTOBER 9. The CD will be distributed by WORD DISTRIBUTION in both Christian and Country markets. 

DIAMOND RIO's career includes ten-million albums sales, many awards from the CMA and ACM including GROUP OF THE YEAR six times, and 13 GRAMMY nominations. The group was named to the GRAND OLE OPRY in 1988.
