The highly publicized rivalry between KANYE WEST and 50 CENT is creating more and more buzz as the release date for their new albums (9/11) draws near. JOHNJAY AND RICH on CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40s KZZP/PHOENIX and KRQQ/TUCSON had an exclusive live interview with 50 CENT on THURSDAY, AUGUST 30th. KANYE WEST heard about it and called JOHNJAY AND RICH within 24 hours to give his response.

When it comes down to raw talent, KANYE boasts "Steppin' outside of the game ... If I was just a fan of music, I would think that I was the number-one artist in the world."

In a (rare) stroke of humility KANYE goes on to confess to JOHNJAY AND RICH that he is jealous of 50 CENT's work ... in a good way. The competition only inspires him to be a better solo producer, make better videos, and come back stronger every time.

Although 50 CENT doesn't expect his upcoming release "Curtis" to sell as many albums as his previous releases, when JOHNJAY AND RICH asked "Will you retire if he beats you?" 50 CENT assures that "It's almost impossible for him to beat me... [KANYE's record] "Stronger" is a good , but "Ayo Technology" is great ... pretty much you got KANYE WEST up against 50 CENT and JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE."

KANYE's response: "If I was on that record ("Ayo Technology"), it would have made a little bit more sense to people."
