ESPN Sports WEPN-A (1050 ESPN RADIO)/NEW YORK taps longtime TV and radio sports producer PETE SILVERMAN as Senior Exec. Producer. SILVERMAN was VP/Programming and Radio for MADISON SQUARE GARDEN NETWORK from 1997 through 2004 and also served as MSG's Exec. Producer for YANKEES, METS, JETS, KNICKS, and RANGERS broadcasts. He previously spent several yeards heading broadcasting for the PHILADELPHIA FLYERS, where he also did FLYERS play-by-play on cable.
"PETE’s depth of knowledge of NEW YORK's sports teams' game production is second-to-none," said PD AARON SPIELBERG. "Chances are, if there’s an in-game feature that area listeners enjoy, PETE was instrumental in developing it. PETE's oversight will add a compelling dimension to our new seasons of JETS football, KNICKS basketball and RANGERS hockey and he will be an outstanding mentor to our excellent production staff."
"PETE has helped define the role of a sports executive producer," added Pres./GM TIM MCCARTHY. "I’m thrilled to add such a capable executive to our management team."
