The SOUTHERN BAPTIST CONVENTION has sold its FAMILYNET TV and radio operations to evangelist and former SOUTHERN BAPTIST CONVENTION President CHARLES STANLEY's IN TOUCH MINISTRIES for an undisclosed price, according to the DALLAS MORNING NEWS. FAMILYNET operates a 24 hour television network and programs SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO channel 161.
The SBC had been on the air since JANUARY 5, 1941, the debut of the syndicated "BAPTIST HOUR," and bought FAMILYNET from JERRY FALWELL in 1991.
