BUSINESSTALKRADIO.NET, INC. closes on its purchase of Talk WLFP-A (formerly WURP-A)/PITTSBURGH from INNER CITY BROADCASTING CORP. for $225,000. The deal was brokered by FRANK BOYLE AND CO.
Nebraska Cluster Sold
JAY VAVRICEK and ALAN USHER's LEGACY BROADCASTING is buying three SCOTTSBLUFF-GERING, NE stations from MICHAEL TRACY's TRACY BROADCASTING CO. for an undisclosed price. The stations, which are being operated by LEGACY under an LMA that commenced SATURDAY (9/1), are Classic Rock KMOR-F, AC KOZY-F, Talk KOLT-A, and Oldies KOAQ-A. KOZY recently moved to KMOR's 101.3 FM spot, and KMOR dropped Country and moved to 93.3 FM, the new frequency for the former KOZY-F, which moved from 103.9 FM.
JODY MCCOY of MEDIA SERVICES GROUP served as exclusive broker representing the buyer in the deal.
Louisiana Noncomm FM Sold
WHITE DOVE FELLOWSHIP, INC. is selling silent noncommercial KMRL/BURNS, LA to NEW ORLEANS QUALITY RADIO for a price redacted from the contract filed with the FCC. The Class A facility is located near the tip of the MISSISSIPPI DELTA southeast of PORT SULPHUR and went silent after HURRICANE KATRINA hit the area.
In another deal filed with the FCC, THE DRUM WORKSHOP, INC. is donating low-power WVVY-LP/OAK BLUFFS (MARTHA'S VINEYARD), MA to MARTHA'S VINEYARD COMMUNITY RADIO, INC.
