Tex Meyer Upped To CC/Greensboro VP/Market Mgr.

CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO has named TEX MEYER as VP/Market Manager for the company’s GREENSBORO, NC cluster. MEYER  was most recently the VP/Market Manager of CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO/ROANOKE. DAVE CARWILE, who was Dir./Sales in ROANOKE/LYNCHBURG, has been named Market Manager.

MEYER. will now oversee the operations of five radio properties, Country WTQR, AC WMAG, Rock WVBZ, Spanish WGBT and Urban AC WMKS. He will be based in GREENSBORO and will report to RVP MORGAN BOHANNON in CHARLOTTE, NC.

“I am looking forward to the next plateau in my career and having met the majority of the CLEAR  CHANNEL employees in our GREENSBORO cluster; I am anxious to work with them on a daily basis. The CLEAR CHANNEL executive staff is in tune with needs of listeners and advertisers and this will insure continued success in GREENSBORO, WINSTON SALEM and HIGH POINT,” said MEYER.

A radio veteran, MEYER has been a GM in PITTSBURGH, TAMPA, NASHVILLE, NORFOLK and most recently ROANOKE/LYNCHBURG. MEYER’s appointment is effective SEPTEMBER 11th.
