Jazz Legend Joe Zawinul Dies

Condolences to family and friends of legendary jazz/fusion keyboardist JOE ZAWINUL, who died TUESDAY after a battle with skin cancer in VIENNA. ZAWINUL, 75, played with CANNONBALL ADDERLY for nine years and wrote the hit "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy" before becoming one of the founders of the Fusion movement in jazz, playing on MILES DAVIS' groundbreaking records "In A Silent Way" and "Bitches Brew" before founding his band WEATHER REPORT, best known for his tune "Birdland."
