A conservative organization called the NATIONAL LEGAL AND POLICY CENTER has filed a complaint with the FEDERAL ELECTION COMMISSION (FEC) alleging that SEAN "DIDDY" COMBS' 2004 "Vote or Die" voter registration campaign violated election law by promoting DEMOCRATIC candidate Sen. JOHN KERRY and opposing Pres. GEORGE W. BUSH.
COMBS' CITIZEN CHANGE organization sponsored the voter campaign, and, while COMBS himself never went on record supporting either candidate, the NATIONAL LEGAL AND POLICY CENTER cited rallies sponsored by CITIZEN CHANGE in which actor LEONARDO DICAPRIO urged crowds to back KERRY as evidence of wrongdoing. The FEC is currently investigating the claims.
