EASTLAN RATINGS announces it will begin providing ratings service for SPRINGFIELD, IL. The FALL 2007 report will be the first audience estimate report in the market since ARBITRON exited in 2002.
"Because SPRINGFIELD has not had metro radio ratings for the past five years, the market has seen a three-year decline in national and regional marketing revenues," remarked MID-WEST FAMILY BROADCASTING/SPRINGFIELD, IL Pres./GM KEVAN KAVANAUGH. "I think there has been a tendency for buyers and planners to steer more advertising dollars toward television or nearby radio markets where there are ratings for them to look at. Consequently, I'm excited about EASTLAN RATINGS measuring the SPRINGFIELD radio market."
EASTLAN President/CEO MIKE GOULD said, "I can't think of a market where our data is being more heavily anticipated. "Hardly a week goes by when we don't have a media buyer ask us about SPRINGFIELD. We're flattered that MID-WEST FAMILY and NEUHOFF BROADCASTING have placed their trust in EASTLAN RATINGS with multiple-year agreements.
"Getting EASTLAN into our market is an important step in keeping local radio in ILLINOIS' capital city front and center with both media buyers and our regional client base", said NEUHOFF BROADCASTING/SPRINGFIELD, IL GM KEVIN O'DEA. "I also look forward to our local and regional advertising agency partners having EASTLAN's vital quantitative and qualitative information to assist in putting together results-oriented radio campaigns."
