Internet and on-air content producer RADIO2DOT0, LTD. closes on the purchase of outsourced news provider CUSTOMRADIONEWS.NET, LLC for an undisclosed price. The deal includes nine affiliates, bringing the company's total reach to about 4.3 million people each day. The combined company offers local news for on-air and Net use, custom-produced individually for each market.

"Today's content consumers are demanding compelling, local content on their schedule," said RADIO2DOT0 President SCOTT ROBERTS. "Our vision is to help small- and medium-market stations meet the their listeners’ growing demand for local information, and to enable them to affordably deliver more consumers to the doorstep of their advertisers. That's the industry's bottom line."

RADIO2DOT0 is also partnering with RADIOPRODUCATIONSOURCE.COM to offer commercial production with rapid turnaround to small- and medium-market stations. The new service, using RADIO2DOT0's distribution system, will launch in mid-OCTOBER.
