Former CHRYSALIS RADIO CEO NICK RILEY told the SUNDAY TELEGRAPH that he is making a bid to buy EMAP's U.K. radio assets. RILEY declined to name his backers but the paper says that VITRUVIAN PARTNERS is the likely backer for RILEY's bid.
RILEY, who left CHRYSALIS when it was purchased by CHARLES ALLEN's GLOBAL RADIO earlier this year, is one of several bidders for EMAP's operations, bids for which are due MONDAY. EMAP's radio division includes the HEART and MAGIC stations, KEY 103/MANCHESTER, and RADIO FORTH and RADIO CLYDE in SCOTLAND.
