Mark Elliott To Start New Consultancy; Big Bear Upped To OM

GOLD COAST BROADCASTING OM MARK ELLIOTT will be leaving the company to start his own consulting company. POINT BROADCASTING LLC, the managing company for GOLD COAST BROADCASTING LLC, HIGH DESERT BROADCASTING LLC, and RINCON BROADCASTING LLC has retained ELLIOTT to provide strategic consulting services for all its stations.
The announcement was made jointly announced by Executive Vice President of GOLD COAST BROADCASTING CHIP EHRHARDT, and MILES SEXTON, CFO/Director of Business Development of parent company POINT BROADCASTING.
According to Executive VP of GOLD COAST BROADCASTING CHIP EHRHARDT, "During his five years leading GOLD COAST'S program operations, MARK helped the company grow tremendously. He deserves credit for many achievements, not the least of which is the creation of the very popular LIVE 105.5 FM format."

ELLIOTT is replaced by Top 40/Rhythmic KCAQ (Q104-7)/OXNARD-VENTURA, CA PD/morning host BRIAN "BIG BEAR" DAVIS has been promoted to Dir./Programming & Broadcast Operations of the cluster. In addition to KCAQ, DAVIS will also oversee Hot AC KFYV (LIVE 105)/VENTURA-OXNARD, CA, Classic Rock KOCP (95.9 THE OCTOPUS), News/Talk KVTA-A, Talk KKZZ-A, and Spanish News/Talk KUNX-A beginning on MONDAY OCTOBER 15th.
EHRHARDT added, "It’s rewarding to watch someone you knew was loaded with talent and desire excel in his career. BRIAN came to us in 2000 after relocating from his hometown of FRESNO where he attended FRESNO STATE and had been working at KBOS. Aside from his physical presence, BRIAN has a tremendous intellectual presence and level of maturity rarely found in someone so young. We are thrilled to elevate Brian to this new position. MILES SEXTON and I are confident that BRIAN will help insure that GOLD COAST BROADCASTING’s stations continue to provide high quality programming and service to VENTURA COUNTY radio listeners. It’s no secret within the radio industry that Brian’s talents have garnered him several opportunities from stations around the country in some really big markets too."
DAVIS replied "I’m very happy about my new role with the company. On the real, there are so many positive things going on here and projects on the horizon I want to be a part of I felt there was no better opportunity for me to pursue."
