The CRTC approves AMHERST ISLAND RADIO's bid to move its low power community station CJAI/STELLA, ON from 93.7 to 92.1 FM. The station is moving to make way for a new station at 93.5 FM in KINGSTON; the frequency change also allows the station to remain on the air while awaiting approval of an upgrade in license class and power.
The Commission also approved RICK SARGENT's applications to launch low-power commercial FMs at BOLTON and CALEDON, ON. The BOLTON station will air an "Eclectic AC" format with 50 watts at 105.5 FM, and the CALEDON station will air tourist information at 102.7 FM with 50 watts.
