MEDIABASE’s RATE THE MUSIC partners with CRITICAL MASS MEDIA to offer a more efficient and comprehensive way of conducting long-form music research. This service can either complement or replace standard Auditorium testing.
By combining RATE THE MUSIC’s online music platform and CMM’s secure research methodology, PDs will have the ability to select their hooklists from the most-played songs in any given format, market or station. In addition to testing 600+ titles, the service allows for testing of short perceptual and/or audio-visual questions.
Launching today and available nationally on a cash or barter basis, MEDIABASE will also contribute its airplay statistics on a national, regional, local, and format-by-format basis to construct the best possible song lists to be tested.
"Our clients have been clamoring for a solid and reliable online testing tool for quite awhile," commented CMM Pres. CAROLYN GILBERT. "The on-air and opt-in platforms available elsewhere just don’t follow research basics. This alliance gives us the most robust platform in the industry, along with spin history supplied by MEDIABASE, allied with the people at CMM who rigorously monitor respondents and data. This is an exciting alliance, expanding our relationship with RICH MEYER and the great people at MEDIABASE."
MEDIABASE Pres./PREMIERE RADIO EVP RICH MEYER stated, "CAROLYN and her team at CRITICAL MASS MEDIA are the best in the business. It’s great to work with innovative, talented people to create useful new products for radio. These new initiatives will meld together classic research methodologies and contemporary collection and delivery devices to create research that is truly compelling and actionable."
