Twister Time In Pensacola

Several PENSACOLA radio stations had a close call this morning when several tornados formed in the downtown area. According to CUMULUS Dir./IT & Engineering YANCY MCNAIR, "As soon as I walked in the station this morning our EAS machine was going off. The NWS was reporting a tornado heading straight for our studios, so I went around the building tell everyone to take cover in the hallways. The tornado missed our studios by about two miles and missed two of our tower sites by less than a mile."

Although several homes and businesses in the downtown area were damaged or destroyed, only four people have been reported injured so far.
