Report: Will WMG Go Monthly With iTunes?

APPLE's alleged ironclad grip on setting the pricing of audio and video content may be lessening, according to a report in THE WASHINGTON POST. While the lion's share of the story discusses NBC UNIVERSAL's decision to pull its video content off iTUNES, it also cites a "source with knowledge of discussions" between APPLE and WARNER MUSIC GROUP, whose contract expires at year-end.

What's under discussion? According to the source, WMG may follow UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP's lead and switch to a month-to-month deal to place its content in APPLE'S iTUNES store.
