Condolences to family and friends of BBC RADIO 4 "IN THE PSYCHIATRIST'S CHAIR" host ANTHONY CLARE, who died suddenly last weekend in PARIS at 64.
CLARE, a psychiatrist and author known for eliciting surprising admissions from celebrity guests, began in radio as a regular on RADIO 4's "STOP THE WEEK" in the '70s before launching "IN THE PSYCHIATRIST'S CHAIR" in 1982. He also hosted "AFTER DARK" on CHANNEL 4 in the late '80s and early '90s.
