METRO NETWORKS has issued its list of "The Top Ten Worst Holiday Traffic Tie-Ups in AMERICA," compiled by METRO experts from its bureaus nationwide.
The list includes NEW YORK's THROGS NECK and WHITESTONE BRIDGES between the BRONX and QUEENS, L.A.'s 5 Freeway northbound through the SAN FERNANDO VALLEY and southbound through ORANGE COUNTY, CHICAGO's BORMAN EXPRESSWAY/TRI-STATE TOLLWAY, PHILADELPHIA's I-476 (the PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE Extension) between the Mid-County Tolls (end of the BLUE ROUTE) to LANSDALE, I-80 from SAN FRANCISCO-OAKLAND through SACRAMENTO to LAKE TAHOE, the MASSACHUSETTS TURNPIKE from BOSTON west to STURBRIDGE, DALLAS' TEXAS 121 between the DALLAS NORTH TOLLWAY and FRISCO, southbound I-95 through the WASHINGTON area, ATLANTA's PERIMETER HIGHWAY (I-285) between I-75 and I-85, and the U.S. 23-I-75 merge in DETROIT.
Getting a dubious "honorable mention" is MIAMI's PALMETTO EXPRESSWAY from Okeechobee Road to the DOLPHIN EXPRESSWAY.
