CBS Talk WCKG/CHICAGO's next phase will be music, all right, but for now it'll be CHRISTMAS music, commencing after STEVE DAHL signs off his last afternoon show for the station TONIGHT (11/2). 

The move, an attempt to beat crosstown AC WLIT to the CHRISTMAS music punch (WLIT was originally scheduled to switch to holiday music on NOVEMBER 9th), is a prelude to a new format for WCKG widely speculated to be AC. Could the recent registration of Fresh1059.com be an indicator of things to come?

DAHL moves to sister Adult Hits WJMK (104.3 JACK FM) for mornings starting MONDAY.

It's Christmas Lights At Lite FM

Across town, CLEAR CHANNEL AC WLIT, not about to be beaten to the CHRISTMAS format by WCKG, went ahead and flipped the holiday switch, airing CHRISTMAS music starting at 8:30a TODAY.
