N.J. 101.5 Host Rips Candidate For Insinuating 'Endorsement'

Hosts at MILLENIUM Talk WKXW (NEW JERSEY 101.5)/TRENTON don't formally endorse political candidates, which is why morning host JIM GEARHART is hopping mad over a campaign flyer from MARLBORO Mayor ROBERT KLEINBERG appearing to carry endorsements from GEARHART and other prominent figures in the state. 

KLEINBERG told the ASBURY PARK PRESS that he merely quoted GEARHART and others talking favorably about him, but GEARHART responded that "the clear implication is that I am in some way supporting his election. There's no way to get around that. ... It's capitalizing on somebody's reputation, which I guess he thinks I have, to advance your own petty political agenda, and I resent that." In a statement from MILLENIUM, COO ANDY SANTORO said, "NEW JERSEY 101.5 FM radio and MILLENIUM radio does not, and has never, offered an endorsement of any political candidate."
