Corus Radio Launches New Winnipeg Station

Winnipeg Has It's Groove On

CORUS RADIO has launched CJGV (99.1 GROOVE FM)/WINNIPEG. Featuring the image voice of ACADEMY AWARD winner ISAAC HAYES, the mix includes GEORGE BENSON, MICHAEL BUBLÉ, EARTH WIND AND FIRE, MARVIN GAYE, SADE and GROVER WASHINGTON JR.

"Months of research went into building 99.1 GROOVE FM and we’re confident that given the station’s unique format, that no matter how you are feeling, the station will help you find your groove. It’s a feeling that you can enjoy anywhere. All you have to do is turn it on and turn it up," said COREG/WINNEPEG GM GARTH BUCHKO. "We are pleased to have 99.1 GROOVE FM join the CORUS RADIO/WINNIPEG family as sister station to CJOB 68 and POWER 97." 

The 99.1 GROOVE FM programming line up will feature:

DAN MICHAELS, 6-10a, RUSS TYSOIN, 10a-2p, ROXANE GAGNE, 2-7p, "Lights Out" with WALLE LARSSON, 7p-Midnight, "Smooth Jazz Top 20 Countdown" with ALLEN KEPLER, 4-6p every SATURDAY and "Legends of Jazz" with RAMSEY LEWIS, 8-10p every SUNDAY
