About 2,000 WESTWOOD ONE affiliates will be getting new "Media Access Exchange" (MAX) receivers from the syndicator as part of a revamp of the radio network's distribution system. The receivers are customized versions of INTERNATIONAL DATACASTING's SuperFlex Pro Audio receivers.
"The ability to copy-split during live sports proved to be a major success to advertisers in giving them unprecedented flexibility in their national campaigns," said WW1 EVP of Network Sales PAUL GREGREY. "We are excited to build on that success, taking it to the next level and upgrading our delivery system to make every WESTWOOD ONE program copy-splitable across the entire network."
The new receivers are expected to be deployed in first quarter 2008.
