Chesney, Paisley, Underwood, Strait Winners At CMA Awards

Fueled by standout performances, the 41st ANNUAL COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS were held WEDNESDAY (11/7) at the SOMMET CENTER in NASHVILLE. Carried live on ABC-TV, the CMA-AWARDS once again showed that for NASHVILLE, it's all about the music. Some of the night's stellar performances included ALISON KRAUSS, SUGARLAND, KEITH URBAN, LeANN RIMES and REBA McENTIRE, the EAGLES, actor JAMIE FOXX with RASCAL FLATTS and BRAD PAISLEY featuring the BRENTWOOD HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND.
The "ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR AWARD," went to KENNY CHESNEY. CARRIE UNDERWOOD won for "FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR" and BRAD PAISLEY was "MALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR." "GROUP OF THE YEAR" honors went to RASCAL FLATTS; SUGARLAND picked up the "DUO OF THE YEAR" award and TAYLOR SWIFT, who had the line of the night when she said, "This is definitely the highlight of my senior year," picked up the HORIZON AWARD.

* Vocal Duo of the Year: Sugarland
* Album of the Year: "It Just Comes Natural" - George Strait (Tony Brown and George Strait Producers)
* Single of the Year: "Before He Cheats" - Carrie Underwood (Mark Bright Producer)
* Song of the Year: "Give It Away" - George Strait (Bill Anderson, Buddy Cannon Jamey Johnson writers)
* Musical Event of the Year: "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" - Tracy Lawrence, featuring Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw
* Music Video of the Year: "Online," - Brad Paisley - Director Jason Alexander
* Musician of the Year: Jerry Douglas
