World Hunger Year Hungerthon Underway

This year's THANKSGIVING auction for the  WORLD HUNGER YEAR "Hungerthon" includes not only INFINITY's News WINS-A, Sports WFAN-A, and Rock WXRK/NEW YORK, but also SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO and AIR AMERICA RADIO affiliate WLIB-A/NEW YORK. The 6a-9p marathon auction to benefit the charity founded by the late HARRY CHAPIN with current Exec. Dir. BILL AYRES, inclides guitars signed by BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, PAUL MCCARTNEY, the BEACH BOYS, the EAGLES, and BON JOVI; donations are being accepted online and at 1-800-5HUNGRY.  

INFINITY News WCBS-A/NEW YORK hald an event on OCTOBER for the cause, and AC WNEW (MIX 102.7)/NEW YORK aired a public affairs show simulcast for the effort on SUNDAY.  CLEAR CHANNEL Classic Rock WAXQ (Q 104.3)/NEW YORK will participate with a "Charity Begins at Home" event the week of DECEMBER 12.
