Radio-Mercury Awards Add Three Catagories

Time Frame Also Expanded

The 2008 RADIO-MERCURY Awards introduces three new categories in the competition for the $100,000 Grand Prize: Radio Innovations, Political, and Entertainment. In addition, the broadcast timeframe requirement for eligibility has been expanded by two months.

As previously announced, the 2008 RADIO-MERCURY Awards celebration and ceremony will be held on MAY 21st during an early evening reception in LOS ANGELES. In conjunction with the earlier date, the call-to-enter timeframe has been adjusted to DECEMBER 7th, 2007 through FEBRUARY 22nd, 2008.

"Audio is an emotional trigger and the RADIO-MERCURY Awards continue to recognize and honor those who successfully harness that power for our advertisers."
