ESPN's Mike And Mike To Be Roasted

ESPN RADIO morning team MIKE GREENBERG and MIKE GOLIC will be roasted at a special gala dinner in ATLANTIC CITY JANUARY 11th with a portion of the roast proceeds and those from a silent auction going to the benefit of the V FOUNDATION FOR CANCER RESEARCH. Veteran roast emcee and comic JEFFREY ROSS will emcee the event at the HOUSE OF BLUES at the SHOWBOAT casino, with ESPN's MARK SCHLERETH and TREY WINGO hosting. Comic/impressionist and TBS "FRANK TV" star FRANK CALIENDO, actor/comic DENIS LEARY, and ESPN's DICK VITALE will be among the celebrities participating in the roast. The show will air live from the hotel's pool area that morning.

"As roasts go this could go down as one of the easiest of all time," said GOLIC. "Roasters get to pick on a guy who is so un-athletic he was cut from his high school chess team, and another guy who was hit so many times in the head he doesn't speak so good any more. We couldn't be easier targets if they were plastered on our backs."

GREENBERG added, "I consider this a chance for others to make fools of us, something I think we've done a fine job of doing ourselves for eight years. I just hope to survive the experience."
