Clear Channel Trims Traffic Reporters In Orlando

THE ORLANDO SENTINAL reports the cuts at CLEAR CHANNEL TOTAL TRAFFIC continue locally, with the latest being the bulk of the ORLANDO cluster's traffic reporters exiting this morning. Those out include full-timers ROBIN COLE, BRIAN FRITZ, DOUG STEWART, REBECCA GIFFORD, GRAIG CAIN and part-timers MICHELLE BETANCOURT, NATASHIA BETANCOURT and JACQUELINE (ANGELISE) VAITUULALA.

ALL ACCESS hears that the positions in ORLANDO were relocated to TAMPA. The company is expanding operations there to cover a greater amount of the state. Word is that it'll result in better around-the-clock coverage with better resources/more sophisticated equipment. The expansion into the additional 10 markets is separate from that in-state expansion. No word if those leaving are transferring to TAMPA.
