The longrunning battle between TALK RADIO NETWORK's MICHAEL SAVAGE and the COUNCIL ON AMERICAN-ISLAMIC RELATIONS goes to court, as SAVAGE sues CAIR for copyright infringement for distributing a 4 minute clip from his show.
CAIR used the clip, in which SAVAGE criticized the KORAN as a "book of hate," from SAVAGE's OCTOBER 29th show in a letter-writing campaign to his advertisers. SAVAGE says that the group also edited and pulled quotes out of context and that his remarks were directed against Iranian President MAHMOUD AHMADINEJAD and others SAVAGE terms terrorists.
CAIR has been engaged in a campaign to get advertisers to pull their spots from SAVAGE's show; SAVAGE has charged that the group is tied to terrorist organizations.
