A single engine plane clipped the 1,065 ft. tower carrying the antennae of NEBRASKA EDUCATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS PBS affilite KLNE-TV/LEXINGTON, NE and noncommercial Classical-NPR KLNE/LEXINGTON, NE SUNDAY at about 10:44a CT, killing three aboard and taking the stations off the air. Part of the tower fell on the stations' transmitter building as well. Service for the NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE and area EMS services were also knocked out by the accident; NET is working to restore limited service as soon as possible.
