ARBITRON's release of the preliminary findings of RADAR® 95 offers advertisers a comprehensive look at radio's consumer base.
According to the new figures, 95% of Adults age 18-49 with a college degree and an annual household income of $50,000 or above, tune into radio over the course of a week. RADAR Network affiliates (which comprise over have of all radio stations) reach 86% of that demo, as well as 85% of adults 25-54 in households with a college degree and an annual household income of $75,000 or above.
As expected, radio's appeal is attracting fewer younger listeners, although RADAR networks still reach 82% of all radio listeners ages 12+ -- 84% of listeners ages 12-17.
Overall, radio attracts 233 million listeners each week, an increase over last year's estimates. The 7,200+ RADAR Network Affiliated stations reach 82% of the American public.
