FCC Fines Station For Nonconforming Facilities

FAMILY EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION gets fined $5,600. by the FCC for failure to operate WPLI/LEVITTOWN, PR in accordance with its authorization. The station had been caught using a nondirectional antenna with 26.4 watts horizontal and zero vertical, as opposed to its authorization for 34 watts horizontal and 100 watts vertical directional. The fine was reduced from the originally-proposed $7,000. due to a history of compliance.
