As tipped on ALL ACCESS, AIR AMERICA RADIO is revamping its morning drive show as current "MORNING SEDITION" co-host MARC MARON exits that post (but will "contribute" to the new show and may host his own LOS ANGELES-based show in the future). The new schedule will move MARON's co-host MARK RILEY to 5-7a ET and early morning host RACHEL MADDOW to 7-9a ET in a block called "AIR AMERICA MORNINGS," produced by PAUL MARSZALECK, formerly VP of Music Programming at VH1 and MTV NETWORKS and a programmer at KFOG/SAN FRANCISCO and WXRT/CHICAGO.
The network's President GARY KRANTZ says that "beginning in JANUARY, you will hear a tightly formatted, flawless presentation of the most important topics of the day by MARK and RACHEL, as well most compelling guests from the world of politics and entertainment. We are also committed to generating at least one show in 2006 from LOS ANGELES to connect us more closely with the progressive creative community there, and thus to offer our affiliates a widening menu of politics, comedy, information, and entertainment."
