ALL ACCESS sends ultimate kudos to SAGA's News/Talk WHCU-A/ITHACA, which celebrates 85 years of broadcasting with a special edition of the Morning Newswatch with DAVE VIESER and GEOFF DUNN on WEDNESDAY, JAN. 23rd, 2008. The station signed on the air as WEAI, with education programming from CORNELL on JAN. 23rd, 1923. It changes calls to WHCU (Home of CORNELL UNIVERSITY) in 1940, and the school sold the station in 1985.
DAVE WEISER is looking to hear from alumni of WHCU; anyone who might have some copies of WHCU broadcasts; or any former WHCU employee who would like to cut an mp3 that they can air as a liner on the station for the anniversary. You can reach Dave at dvieser@cyradiogroup.com
