ESPN Sports WEPN-A (1050 ESPN)/NEW YORK does something about that pesky signal null in NEW JERSEY, inking an LMA to put its programming full-time on NASSAU BROADCASTING's first-adjacent-channel Religion WCHR-A/FLEMINGTON, NJ, starting in mid-JANUARY. WCHR's daytime signal covers a swath of central and western NEW JERSEY on 1040 AM.
"This agreement allows 1050 ESPN to provide our extensive sports programming to a substantially wider audience throughout significant portions of NEW JERSEY and in the northern PHILADELPHIA suburbs," said WEPN Pres./GM TIM MCCARTHY. "We saw an opportunity for an improvement in our signal coverage and found a great new partner to work with."
"We are extremely pleased to be working with 1050 ESPN and that ESPN’s high-quality programming will now be able to be received by an extensive sports fan base in NEW JERSEY," added NASSAU CEO LOU MERCANTANTI.
